Okoume, or Gaboon, is used heavily in the plywood and veneer industry. Okoume veneer is often used as backer, for cross banding, and as platform material for custom plywood production, as well as for creating curved panels. Okoume comes from the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
