Spf (Spruce, Pine, Fir)
SPF – Spruce, Pine, Fir, is ideal for residential and commercial construction due to its low cost and high strength-to-weight ratio. There are four species in the SPF group: White Spruce, Engelmann Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, and Alpine Fir. SPF has been used extensively in North America for structural applications in wood-frame construction.
